Add colour to your smooth 'foundation' - with
eyes, cheeks and lips
Once the 'foundation' is laid, it's time to add some colour to complement
your colouring. Springs and Autumns have golden skin tones and so the
shades below from the Moritz range all have lovely, warm names! Summers
and Winters will be choosing from the cooler shades, designed to complement
their pinky tones. See my suggestions for each Season in part
3
 |
 |
Use
a big brush and sweep the blusher across your cheekbones.
Moritz
have six powder blushers to choose from:
- Candy
Floss, Coral Blush, Frosted Earth and Fudge if you have a warm
skin
- English
Rose and Winter Rose for
a cool skin
Try
mixing two together for a softer look. |
| |
|
 |
Use
a highlighter under your eyebrow or above your blusher line high
on your cheekbone for a party look.
Highlighters
can also be used as eyeshadows. To make your eyes look bright
and wide awake, swish a little highlighter across your eyelids,
add mascara, and see the difference! This will see you right
through the day - just add lipstick. |
| |
 |
| |
For
a more colourful look, add a different shade of eyeshadow above/under/around
the highlighter. This is where you can play with colours until
the cows come home. Try some of the suggestions below based on
your Seasonal direction, or see my suggestions for each Season
in part 3 |

Add
eye liner under your eye for definition
Or see
my suggestions for each Season in part

Finish
off with a luscious sweep of Black, Brown or Blue mascara to
create wide-open, alive, and bright-looking eyes. |

 |
For
perfect lips, outline in the correct colour for your skin tone
- Plum for cool skins, Sunset for warm skins |
| |
|
 |
Add
the lipstick of your choice. There are plenty of suggestions
for each Season in part
3.
If you
apply your lipstick with a brush, it will last longer but always
carry your lipstick with you to re-apply throughout the day,
especially after meals. Nothing looks more tacky than 'bitty'
lips with just an outline remaining of what was once there! |
| |
|
 |
Consider
using bronzing powder as a replacement for blusher, or just to
sweep all over your face to add a healthy glow
If you
have cool skin, make sure you choose a pink-based product; applying
golden yellow tones to your skin will make you look brassy! |
Magnetic compact
All
the eyeshadows, blushers and highlighters come in magnetised modules
and fit into the Magnetic Compact so, when you run out of one, you don't
have to buy a whole palette again - you can just replace the one you
need.
Very clever and very economical. It takes me absolutely months and months
to run out of any one module and I use them every day without fail.
You can start off with one eyeshadow (as the modules are magnetised,
they won't fall out!) and keep adding until you fill it. Some options
are:
- 8 eyeshadows and 2 blushers (like the one on the left in the picture)
- 6 eyeshadows and 2 blushers (the one on the right) leaving room for
applicators
- 4 eyeshadows, 1 highlighter and 2 blushers (like mine!) - still with
room for applicators
Part 1 - A good 'foundation'
is the key to clever make-up
