You won't find these workshops anywhere else in the world!

Other image consultants generally offer one-to-one consultations. In this environment it's often just you and the consultant which means there'll be a maximum of two different colour types in the room and you'll probably have to imagine the rest. I've found that it really helps to see what works on other (real) people so you can understand exactly why those colours and/or styles may not be right for you.

NB. This is not a training course for prospective image consultants; this is a fun alternative to a personal consultation for the general public. If you are looking to train as an image consultant, you need the consultant training page.

What if you could see examples of all the colour types (or style types) in one room at the same time?

• Well you can, with an Improvability workshop in aspects of Colour, Style or Image.
• In a group, there's a much better chance of having at least one of each type in the room. You will see immediately why some colours and styles won't work on you when you see them on others.
• This is a totally new approach to Colour and Style analysis and it works.

Many people find that a workshop environment is better than a one-to-one as it allows you to explore the mysterious world of colour, style, image, etc. in a non-threatening, friendly group environment.

You have three choices:

1. Come along on your own or with a friend(s) to an organised workshop for 6 ladies only at my studio in Chesterfield, UK - book now
2. Host one in your own home or on your premises (minimum 6 ladies and/or gentlemen, maximum however many you can manage!) - choose your own content
3. Put together 6 people (ladies and/or gentlemen), choose your own content, and I will host the day for you at my studio in Chesterfield

We're an independent company with no commercial ties to any franchise and our products and services have been developed and built with over 25 years' knowledge and experience in the Image business. I've developed these independently as my knowledge has grown. The current workshops are a huge improvement on the products and services we had five years ago. For instance, when it first came out, I couldn't get my head around the theory behind Tonal Directions at all so I abandoned it and returned to the Seasonal theory where everyone is coded as Spring, Summer, Autumn or Winter.

I remember the first Tonal workshop I ever ran. As everyone was walking in, I realised that I had a blonde Winter on the front row who would most definitely not benefit from the new Tonal theory I was presenting. I had to send her special Seasonal handouts after the workshop was over.

I had now realised - the hard way - that not everyone suits the Tonal theory, and not everyone suits the Seasonal theory. What I really wanted to be able to do was to offer both options to everyone - but I had to return to using just the Seasonal concepts for the time being.

Then, about 6 years ago, I re-trained in a slightly different version of the Tonal theory (thankfully this time, with a clearer, less-complicated approach) and am now able to also show you whether you are predominantly Light or Deep, Clear or Muted, Cool or Warm. Of course, everyone still wants to know which Season they are and this is still included. You will get honest, individual, personalised advice and, because the workshop covers both theories, you will benefit from even more detailed information about your colouring to help you choose the right shades in clothes, make-up, hair, accessories, etc.

As I don't have a company directive to follow, my advice is based on YOU, not how to fit you into someone else's theory. For instance, if you personally would be better off with the Tonal information, that is exactly what you will get. Both Seasonal and Tonal information is available in the workshops, and YOU are the driving force behind which is most appropriate for you. I will not make you fit into a box or category.

Do the workshops take into account current fashion trends?

• Of course. You will soon see how to take current fashion trends and wear what is appropriate for your colouring, body shape, etc.
• You will also learn how to wear those items which you may be drawn to but aren't really the best for you! However, let's make one thing clear now. My advice will be geared to YOU, not what's in fashion.
• I will honestly advise you what to wear to suit YOU.
• You will no longer waste money on wearing current fashions that just don't suit you.

But more importantly, we will be looking at YOU and your personality. What if the last thing you want to do is to wear the latest fashion trends? No problem. Come along and find out how to increase your confidence and wear what suits you, what makes you look fabulous, regardless of what's in the shops.

My advice is honest and friendly, delivered with a sometimes outrageous sense of humour, and it's definitely not too serious. After all, life is too short to get hung up on small details. You'll also find that the whole experience is educational because of immediate feedback from other group members.

Despite being in a workshop environment, the advice is absolutely individual and personalised for you. Every person receives a workbook and this becomes personalised for you throughout the session as the individual handouts are added.

All fees must be paid at the time of booking. Cancellations must be received in writing 7 days in advance of the course date. All fees are forfeited thereafter. However, someone else could take your place. Improvability reserve the right to cancel the workshop if less than the minimum have booked. In this case, all fees already paid will be refunded in full.

Colour & Style Workshop note

I always ask for feedback from ladies who have already attended the workshops and the feeling is always that they would like more time on this, or more time on that, and I feel I'm selling people short by trying to cram Colour and Style all into one day.
